On June 18, 1901, at the beginning of the 20th century, Lutheran clergy and laypeople united to pioneer a groundbreaking initiative: the establishment of a shared financial institution. This institution was envisioned to provide affordable loans aimed at assisting new mission congregations across Michigan in constructing their inaugural worship facilities.
